God promised to give us pastors according to His own heart (Jeremiah 3:15). Part of the duty that comes with pastoring and being a shepherd of the sheep is to minister to the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of the people; to guide and represent the people to God, along with their concerns. Our pastor, James H. Nelson, Sr. is given to watchfulness, gentleness and affection, exhortation, warning, and comfort to the grieving. In addition, he provides counseling, intercessory prayer, visits at local hospitals and/or prisons.
